CAREER EXPO IN NYERI
The County Government of
Nyeri, in collaboration with County Investors Exhibitions and NuruPe Events and
P.R have organized the Nyeri County
Education Expo.
The expo is set to take place
from 26th-28th March, 2015 at Kamukunji Grounds in Nyeri
town.
This forum is a first of its
kind in Nyeri, and will bring together universities, colleges and training
stakeholders to display their products and services for a period of three days.
The expo comes at a timely period;
after the release of the 2014 KCSE results when candidates and their parents
will be looking at what options they have when it comes to higher education. It
also targets youth and young professionals, who may be looking to advance their
studies.
It is free of charge for all
attendants.
The expo is a huge milestone
in Nyeri County, and is set to boost the confidence of the education and
training sector in the county.
The main objective of the
expo is to provide a forum where students and parents get information about
several different colleges at once. It also seeks to provide the young people
with career guidance opportunities.
About 15,000 students sat
their KCSE last year from Nyeri County alone. The Nyeri County Education Expo
will therefore provide a ready market for tertiary institutions through these
candidates and their parents. .
